Wind-shaped coastal grasses along a walking berm

Studio roots

Why we catalogue lichen corridors

We are a Wellington hobby collective that prints observation kits. Participation is voluntary, priced transparently, and documented with plain receipts—without franchising layers or hierarchies beyond our small mail desk.

Section 01 · method

Editorial neutrality

Writers annotate trail notes from open council PDFs and volunteer tidy-up days. We avoid describing physical sensations for readers—only measurable trail facts and drawing prompts remain.

Consent-led photography

Reference shots are staged with paid contributors or permissive commons media. Releases live in our offline binder and can be summarized on request.

Accessibility posture

Large-print PDF companions exist for neighbours who borrow copies from local libraries—we never charge for accessibility adjustments.

Section 03 · geography

Karori watershed context

Messines Road sits upslope from the central city; hikers often link through Zealandia fencing lines. Guides mention etiquette for bikes, dogs-on-leash areas, and night closures sourced from Wellington City Council postings.

Section 04 · contact clarity

Reach the mail desk first

Because we parcel books by hand, we prefer written requests that include delivery windows. Telephone support exists for clarification, not outbound sales scripting.
